Welcome to Law 12!
The Canadian Law course is designed to provide students with a knowledge of law and its function in society, and to provide students with the opportunity to develop skills and attitudes that will enable them to understand the process of law. We will focus on the development of Canadian law from early laws that influenced the formation of our own, to mondern laws and procedures.
A variety of assessment, teaching, and evaluations strategies will be used throughout the term. The following topics will be discussed: a) Introduction to Law, b) Human Rights and Freedoms, c) Criminal Law, d) Civil Law, e) International Humanitarian Law, and f) Independent Study (law related topic of your choice).
