Welcome to Global Geography!
This course can be used to satisify the Global Studies requirement for successful completion of the high school program. The course focuses on the branch of geography known as Human Geography. It explores the major themes which help students understand the nature and origins of complex human / envrironment relationships in the contemporary world guided by the fundamental themes and skills of modern geography. Students will be expected to understand the interdependence of nations to consider global conditions and global issues, and to understand how our world arrived at its current state.
The following units will be studied in this course: a) The Global Geographer, b) The Planet Earth, c) Population, d) Resources and Commodities, e) Urbanization, and f) The Future Planet
